The golden jubilee reunion of 1973 & 1974 batches of St Aloysius College, was held on January 11 in the LF Rasquinha hall. The esteemed chief guest was Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, and the event was presided over by Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of St Aloysius College along with Dr Alwyn D’Sa, registrar and controller of examination, prof Victor and the staff coordinators, Dr Florin Shelomith Soans, and Renita Fernandes.
During the ceremony, the 1973 as well as 1974 batch was honoured with mementos in their graduation gowns. Following this, two students from each batch, Mr Shantaya Kinni(1973) and Pramod Fernandes(1974), shared their experiences as students of St Aloysius College.
Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, the Chief Guest, shared his thoughts on the significance of the Golden Jubilee.
Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal of the college, addressed the graduates, expressing his viewpoints on the event and acknowledging the contributions of the alumni, particularly appreciating the affection shown by the 1973 and 1974 students towards their Alma Mater.
Addressing the gathering, prof Victor, reminisced his time as a lecturer in St Aloysius College and highlighting the significant contributions the college has made to his life’s journey.
Manoj Dyson Fernandes, faculty of BBA, compered the program. Conrad T Nazareth delivered the vote of thanks.
