Youth Icon 2026

The Aloysian Youth ICON – 2026 programme was successfully conducted on Monday, 16
February 2026 at 3:00 PM at L F Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block, St Aloysius (Deemed to be
University), Mangaluru. Capt. Patrick Pais, Convener of Youth Icon 2026, who was also present
on the dais. The dignitaries on the dais included Rev Fr Melwin Pinto SJ, Rector of St Aloysius
Institutions;Rev Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Vice Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be
University); Anil Kumar, President of SACAA; Conrad Nazareth, Secretary of SACAA; and Fr
Clifford, Principal of St Aloysius PU College.
The awardees of Aloysian Youth ICON – 2026 are:
 Viani Antonio DCunha – International Chess Master
 Shruthi Merin Lal – Scholar in Anthropology and Sociology
 Ninaad Lasrado – Viral Immunologist
 Swetha Arehole – Danseuse and Performing Arts Professional
 Manvitha Kamath – Actor and Cultural Entrepreneur
The award recognizes young alumni who have demonstrated professional excellence, upheld
institutional core values, and made meaningful contributions to society. The programme stood as
a celebration of youthful achievement and served as a powerful inspiration to students,
reaffirming that true success lies not only in personal distinction but also in responsible
leadership and service to the community.
